Free speech is a concept that benefits everyone. It’s so crucial that it’s been written into law. The First Amendment guarantees that U.S. citizens will not have this right trampled by the government. Free speech, however, means that even your worst enemies get the chance to speak. Those you disagree with vehemently are perfectly allowed to express their views and ideas in the public square. If not for this guarantee, only “allowed” or “popular” ideas would permeate the societal consciousness. Differing opinions would be met with the threat of violence and either those ideas would be forced underground and become the basis for a revolution or the populace would be made into mindless slaves.
Knowledge of the truth rests upon the ability of people to share and express ideas. Should that ability be lost, so too would the truth. The principle of freedom of speech is so important that it is the very last thread holding civilization itself together. Cut that thread, and everything crashes down. Only the most evil and deranged powermongers would dare tamper with it. So, naturally, they are:
The United Nations has taken it upon themselves to “warn” the United States government to limit freedom of expression for “white supremacists.” What does and does not constitute white supremacy these days has been virtue-signaled into meaningless emotional hysteria, rendering the term as useless as “racist.” Nonetheless, the UN believes it to be such an important issue that dismantling the basis of freedom and truth so hard-won by our forefathers should be surrendered to combat the spread of white people’s ideas. We’re just that dangerous.
“The U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination issued its ‘early warning’ and call to action for the U.S. from its meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, referring to the ‘horrific’ events in Charlottesville on Aug. 11 and 12, and specifically citing the killing of Heather Heyer and the alleged beating of Deandre Harris by white supremacists.
‘We are alarmed by the racist demonstrations, with overtly racist slogans, chants and salutes by white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and the Ku Klux Klan, promoting white supremacy and inciting racial discrimination and hatred,’ Anastasia Crickley, a native of Ireland who chairs the U.N. committee, said in a press release, going on to call for the U.S. government to ‘investigate thoroughly the racial discrimination targeting, in particular, people of African descent, ethnic or ethno-religious minorities, and migrants.’
The committee also called on the U.S. ‘to undertake concrete measures to address the root causes of the proliferation of such racist manifestations’ and included this last paragraph in its warning:
‘[The committee] recommends that the United States of America ensure that the rights to freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly are not exercised with the aim of destroying or denying the rights and freedoms of others, especially the right to equality and non-discrimination, and that the government of the United States of America provide the necessary guarantees so that such rights are not misused to promote racist hate speech and racist crimes.’”
Apparently, the UN believes it can determine what is and what is not a “misuse” of one of our inalienable rights, and that the U.S. government should stop such “misuse’ from occurring. These tyrannical terrorists think they can tell United States citizens how they can and cannot exercise their rights. This is the horrid reality in which we live and is a perfect example of the kind of insanity that is driving people to embrace nationalism.
It should be obvious that the UN has absolutely no place telling the government of a sovereign nation to violate their constitution to prevent their citizens from becoming racists. Even if racism meant something anymore, or if it really was the terrible boogeyman instilling fear in all minorities, it is the right of the people to be racists if they so choose. This kind of outright denial of people’s right of self-determination is blatantly psychopathic and tyrannical. It shows exactly what they think of the average person: merely a pawn to be moved on a chessboard. They have no concept of the people’s personhood on an individual level. We are mere cattle to be corralled into the pins our masters want. Yet, they’re in a position with enough influential power to be making “warnings” to the U.S. government on what to do!
With every sick attempt to censor the truth, reshape and erase history, control the minds of people and remove their rights, these institutions incur a steeper price to be paid when they lose their power. This insanity will not last, and it will never again be tolerated. Truth must and will prevail.
